The big girl has been home from school for more than a week with the flu and I have been laid low with something different that has left me feeling equally wretched. We both seem to be recovering, but the process is slow and I've lost count of the interesting happenings that have passed us by in the meantime. I say all this not for sympathy, as we are getting better, but to explain why I've been slow to say thank you for some very special gifts.
On Monday, an unexpected parcel filled with thoughtful treasures arrived from Kate at harmonie and rosie. The parcel was my 'pay it forward' surprise' and, as she suspected, I'd forgotten all about it. It was a very sweet treat to find it waiting in my letter box.
Later in the week, a second gift arrived, this time from Belinda. I knew this parcel was on its way, but not what its contents would be. Belinda was my secret partner for the down under doll quilt swap and she has perfectly picked my liking for liberty prints.
Thank you Kate and Belinda for your gifts and for improving what might otherwise have been a very ordinary week!
Glad you like it and I'm so pleased you'd forgotten - well who wouldn't after 300-odd days!! Love that quilt, Belinda's done a great job and all these gifts certainly make a nice change from bills. Sorry the prosestitch household is suffering at the moment, do hope all will be well soon.
Take care, K x
